The Department of Periodontology Brings Laurels to RVS Dental College & Hospital!
The postgraduate students of the Department of Periodontology, RVS Dental College & Hospital, actively participated in the 1st National Congress of Periodontology 2026, held at Bengaluru from 26th–27th June 2026.
Adding to the pride of the institution, Dr. V. K. Vijay, Director-cum-Principal, served as the Moderator for the prestigious scientific session, “The Precision Paradigm: Inflammation and Autoimmunity in Periodontal Disease – What Can We Target with a Molecular Scalpel.”
The department achieved remarkable success:
Dr. Reemitha – Overall Second Runner-Up in Paper Presentation
Dr. Kavippriyan – Best Paper Award in his scientific session
Dr. Mathivanan – Best Paper Award in his scientific session
In addition, Dr. Gowri D., Dr. Adarsh Vignu, and Dr. Nivethitha successfully presented their scientific papers, reflecting the department's strong commitment to research and academic excellence.
These achievements were made possible under the guidance of Dr. Deepshika Saravanan (Professor & Head) and the dedicated faculty members of the Department of Periodontology.
