“GIVADENT 2024” program was held on 31.8.2024 by Department of Periodontology, Government Dental College, Cuddalore. The webinar was themed “LASE YOUR WAY INTO EXCELLENCE”.
All the postgraduates from the department of periodontology and interns from RVS Dental College & Hospital attended the program. Our principal Dr.V.K.Vijay sir was the moderator of the program for the session “Laser Photodynamic Therapy”. On occasion of GIVADENT 2024 E-poster competition was conducted for postgraduate and undergraduate students .Second year postgraduate students from RVS Dental College & Hospital, Dr.Harita and Dr.Niroshini participated under PG category topic “Light scalpel-Laser assisted Periodontal surgery” and interns Ebenezer, Sangeeth and Sowmya participated under UG category “Scope of Periodontics for Undergraduates”.
Two prizes were bagged by our college in both UG and PG category. In postgraduate category, Dr.Harita received consolation prize for the topic “Hemolaser -A Minimal Invasive Approach For Gingival Black Triangle.” In undergraduate category, Interns Ebenezer and Sangeeth received the 1st prize for the topic “Bionic Tooth - A Smart Implant with sense”.
