UG INDUCTION PROGRAMME– 2025

The UG Induction Programme for the freshers Batch of 2025–2026 was held on 27th October 2025 at the Smt. Padmavathi Ammal Memorial Auditorium, RVS Dental College & Hospital, Sulur. The event marked the beginning of a new academic journey for the first-year BDS students, symbolizing their formal induction into the dental profession.
The programme commenced with a prayer song, followed by the lighting of the traditional lamp, signifying the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries including the Chief Guest – Dr. G. Vikram Reddy, Member, Dental Council of India, along with the Principal, Administrative officer, Heads of Departments, faculty members, parents, and the newly admitted students.
In his welcome address, the Principal warmly greeted the new students and their parents, emphasizing the vision and mission of the institution. He highlighted the importance of discipline, dedication, and ethical values in moulding competent and compassionate dental professionals.
The highlight of the day was the White Coat Ceremony, a proud and emotional moment where the first-year students were ceremoniously robed in their white coats by the faculty members. The Chief Guest, Dr. G. Vikram Reddy, addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech that emphasized the significance of the white coat as a symbol of integrity, professionalism, and service to humanity. He motivated students to uphold the dignity of the profession, remain committed to continuous learning, and practice dentistry with empathy and ethical responsibility.
Following the ceremony, the students took the Hippocratic Oath, pledging to serve patients with care, respect, and compassion throughout their careers.
The event also featured an orientation session introducing the students to the curriculum, academic regulations, and facilities available at the institution. Department Heads presented brief overviews of their respective specialties, inspiring students to explore the diverse and evolving field of dentistry.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, Chief Guest, faculty members, students, and parents for their enthusiastic participation and support.
The UG Induction Programme 2025 was a memorable and inspiring event that marked the students’ first step into their professional journey, setting a tone of pride, purpose, and commitment for the years ahead at RVS Dental College & Hospital.
