NATIONAL ORAL PATHOLOGIST DAY CELEBRATION

With the blessings of our Honourable Chairman, Vijayasree K. V. Kupusamy Ayya, the Department of Oral Pathology and Oral Microbiology, RVS Dental College and Hospital, celebrated National Oral Pathologist Day on 25th February 2026.
The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr. M. Kavitha, Professor and Head of the Department. The speaker was introduced by Dr. Gowri Shankar.P, Reader. As part of the CDE program (awarding 5 credit points by TNDC), the guest lecture was delivered by Dr. Chandrasekar.
Students and interns attended the lecture on “Understanding Oral Cavity Lesions –A Clinico-pathological and Histopathological Perspective.” Prizes were awarded to students for various events such as Rangoli, Reels, and Photography.
A workshop on punch biopsy was conducted for third-year students. Dr. Jaya Sri, Senior Lecturer, delivered the vote of thanks. The program concluded with the National Anthem.
The Oral Pathologist Day celebration and CDE program reinforced the institution’s dedication to quality patient care and education by providing a platform for learning, networking, and raising awareness about oral potentially malignant disorders and oral cancer.
