CHILDRENS DAY CELEBRATION

The Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry, RVS Dental College and Hospital, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu celebrated the occasion of Children’s day from 14th to 17th November 2023.
Dr. Pradeep Kumar MBBS, MD(Paediatrics), Head of Medical Genetics, KMCH, Coimbatore,was invited as guest of honour.
Events to create awareness of oral health of children.
- Dental health camp was organised at Star health special school childrenCoimbatore
- Lecturers and postgraduates gave speech on brushing technique, and role of diet for the children
- Brushing kit were distributed to the children
- School teachers and caretaker was explained, about the importance of oral health and regular dental visits.
Activities involved
- Online photography
- Slogan writing competition on the topic ‘Kinder Smile’
- Colouring competition
- Rangoli competition
- ‘Touch and identify’
Children, parents, undergraduates, interns and post graduates actively participated in the celebration and awarded certificates, gifts and prizes.
Principal Prof Dr Vk Vijayaddressed the gathering. Chief guest had an interactive session with parents and emphasized on oral health importance among special needs.To honour special needs special T shirt was released.The programme was organised by faculty members Prof & Head Dr.Nagendran.J ,Sr. Lecturer Karthika,Sr Lecturer Jenny, post graduates and interns.
