International women’s day 2024 was celebrated in our esteemed institution on 07.03.2024, the theme being “ Invest in Women-Accelerate the progress” through women leadership.
The event was presided over by our honourable Director cum Principal Dr. Vijay. V.K, RVS Dental College and Hospital and our distinguished Chief guests – Dr.Neelavathy, Principal, RVS Siddha Medical College and Hospital and Prof. Rajakumari, Vice Principal, RVS College of Nursing. The event started with the prayer song followed by the lighting of the lamp.
The Welcome address was delivered by Dr.Pradeepa, Senior Lecturer, Department of Prosthodontics, followed by felicitation of the chief guests by our Principal. Our Principal Dr.Vijay.V.K addressed the gathering and his speech insisted upon the role of women in all sectors. Our Chief guests Dr.Neelavathy rendered her speech on success of women in all fields of medicine, politics, sports and encouraged the students. Prof. Rajakumari gave her speech on importance of investing in women and women empowerment.
We took this day to honour our conservancy staffs and sanitation workers so as to appreciate their efforts in maintaining our college and hospital premises clean. As a token of gratitude, gifts were presented to them by our Principal.
Our students Sowmiya.M and Sowmiya.A, presented their poetry that was heart warming and vote of thanks was delivered by Dr.Janani.S, Senior Lecturer, Department of Prosthodontics.
